Most recently, LLF financially supported the following charities, chosen for their noteworthy missions and efforts:
Women at the Wail
Women at the WAIL, Inc is a non‐ profit organization that provides: shelter, clothing, showers, and food to the homeless as well as battered women and children while helping them rehabilitate by guiding them to resources that will assist them in finding employment and permanent housing. LLF knows that supporting women healing from abuse will help to provide better circumstances for their children and families moving forward.
Marian Center School & Services
Marian Center School & Services states its mission as: to “educate, train and serve persons with a developmental disability and assist them to wholeness, pursuant to the dictates of the Gospel and of the Church’s call to love, charity and justice.” LLF believes in the positive value of the Marian Center’s school for 6‐21 year olds, the adult day training and work programs and the full 2me residential collage for women.
Voices for Children Foundation
The mission of Voices For Children Foundation is to raise funds to ensure that every abused and neglected child in Miami‐Dade County has a court‐appointed Guardian ad Litem and that financial assistance and other resources are available for their accompanying health, educational, and social needs. LLF values the efforts of this organization to provide advocates for these vulnerable children. Assisting in the support for dedicated leadership in the lives of these children will allow them an advanced opportunity for growth and success.
The Children’s Home Society
The Children’s Home Society of Florida envisions itself as a state and national leader in providing high‐quality, community‐based solutions to meet the needs of individuals, families, and communities. LLF supports their efforts to provide their array of services including family child abuse prevention and intervention services, home based service, help for pregnant teens and first time mothers, residential and group homes, adoption and foster care services, mentoring programs and family preservation.
Earth Angels
Earth Angels mission is to help create joyous memories for children and adults with life threatening illnesses and their families. LLF applauds their determination to bring a smile to those in pain and transition as they manage their care. Their programs include visiting sick children and adults to bring the excitement to them at the hospital or wherever they are receiving care (Angel Buddy), providing birthday, holiday and special occasion parties for those in care (Party With an Angel) and providing access to Florida’s various parks and attractions for those well enough to enjoy a day out (Angel Shine).
Honey Shine Mentoring
Honey Shine Mentoring program encourages the balance of mind, body and soul in girls and women by providing nurturing experiences that enlightens their paths and empowers their future. LLF admires their strides to enhance the experiences of these young children through group mentoring, workshops, fieldtrips and summer camp opportunities.
Take Stock In Children
Take Stock In Children offers low income and at risk students the chance to escape the cycle of poverty through education by providing student scholarships and caring volunteer mentors. LLF commends their commitment to the children they serve because they offer comprehensive services that start in middle school, continue throughout high school and see them through their

Center For Women & Children at the Miami Rescue Mission
The Center for Women and Children champions the work of providing a haven for homeless women and children by offering emergency overnight shelter, long term recovery program, a 10 month program designed to rebuild and strengthen parent and child. LLF supports their efforts that provide so much to those who have so little, all free of charge.
The Overtown Youth Center
The Overtown Youth Center offers In School, after School and Summer programming for children. LLF believes the comprehensive approach is well suited to meeting the organizations mission to engage children in educational and recreational activities that promote their physical, cognitive, motor, social and emotional development.
